My main research interests are:

• comparative political economy of the welfare state
• the financialization of welfare and social policy
• the impact of Europeanization on national welfare states

I recently completed two funded research projects:

1. The Democratic Governance of Funded Pension Schemes (DEEPEN), financed by the Norface program, “Democratic Governance in a Turbulent Age.”
2. Nachhaltigkeit durch betriebliche Altersversorgung?, funded by the Hans Böckler Foundation.
